12 Great Photos Of Our National Parks By Rebecca Latson

In April 2016, Rebecca Latson traveled to Canada for a 4-1/2 day stay in Banff National Park with trips up to the southern border of Jasper National Park and the photos she captured showcases the beauty of our world and their landscapes.

Latson offers Armchair Photography Guides which are geared for those photographers who either cannot or do not wish to hike long trails, race mountain goats up a steep incline, or otherwise carry a lot of stuff (mainly photography gear) on their backs out into the hinterlands for extended periods of time away from civilization. You can read Part 1 of her Armchair Photography Guide on National Parks Traveler

Today, we want to share with you some of our favorite photos that she took during her travels. Enjoy!

It Took A Million Photos And 3 Years To Create This Timelapse

Photographer Keith Loutit has created incredible tilt-shift timelapse work in the past but his newest creation, Lion City II, is totally different.

It took 500 days of shooting over the course of three years to make this timelapse. According to PetaPixel, the film reveals Singapore as the living organism that it is - breathing in and out, building and demolishing, always evolving, never still.

Take a few minutes to check out Keith Loutit's awesome work below! Enjoy!

Loutit shot the timelapse using two Nikon D4 cameras with old Nikon AIS and AI lenses that he modifies himself to better serve his own need.

Of the almost 1 million images he captured for the project, only 25% were used in the final production but he still ended up going a minute and a half longer than he had originally planned. In total, Loutit captured and backed up 10 terabytes of footage! Pretty amazing.

Be sure to check out Loutit’s website www.keithloutit.com and follow him on Facebook for more details about him and his work.

Cool Photos Of Antarctica Taken With An iPhone

Antarctica is such an amazing place and being able to capture its beauty and uniqueness it is no easy feat.... but one photographer was able to shoot it beautifully while using his iPhone!

John Bozinov, 25, has been photographing his way through polar regions — using his iPhone as a camera, when it becomes too much of a hassle to pull out a full-sized camera. He told Mashable Australia, "It's much easier to be in the moment and focus on your subject when your gear isn't so complicated."

Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, Bozinov started playing with cameras at the age of 19. Film photography was his original interest, but make the slow transition to digital via his mobile phone. Today, we wanted to share some of his cool photos of Antarctica that he took with his iPhone. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Be sure to read more from Bozinov's interview on Mashable. To see more of his work, visit his website www.johnbozinov.com or follow him on Instagram. If you loved these photos, here are a few others we think you will enjoy:

Conceptual Street Photography By Izaac Enciso

Izaac Enciso, a Mexican-born and LA-based photographer, has a book called 'Symbols' that blends contemporary street photography with found objects and intervention. Enciso's process involves creating a "mind map" of things he wants to photograph before going out and exploring familiar environments with his camera. On the street and in the moment, he's not afraid to intervene to create an image that looks both recognizable and otherworldly. 'Symbols' is a powerful collection that shows how much space there is to do something exciting and new...even in the crowded realm of street photography.

His photos are very unique and we want to share some of his work with you today.

VICE talked with Enciso to get a better idea of his process and how he approaches his work, so be sure to check it out if you want to read his interview.

Hon. Mention in the Combat Training category: A Marine purses his eyes and lips shut as he is dragged from a mock booby trap in the “Pit and Pond” obstacle during the endurance course on April 19 at the Jungle Warfare Training Center, Okinawa, Japan. The endurance course is the final event Marines participating in jungle warfare training must face, trudging through roughly five miles of Okinawa jungle and 30 obstacles. Marines got creative in shuffling their squad mates beneath loose Plexiglas, avoiding contact with the “booby trap” at all costs. If any portion of the pane is touched, all Marines in a 5-meter radius are considered casualties and have to go back through the Pit and Pond. The Marines are with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment. The Hawaii-based battalion is attached to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force as part of the unit deployment program.

Hon. Mention in the Combat Training category: Cpl. Anthony Skon closes his eyes and braces himself against the weight of a Marine climbing over him to scale a wall during the endurance course April 19 at the Jungle Warfare Training Center, Okinawa. Marines ran in 12-man squads over roughly five miles of Okinawa jungle and through 30 obstacles in JWTC’s culminating event, which helps to build upon what the Marines learned through the previous week of jungle warfare training. Skon is a Queen Creek, Ariz., Native and team leader with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment out of Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
