Photo Of The Week

Today's photo of the week is of a water droplet falling into water that was taken by Brandon Smith

Here is a description of the photo from Brandon: "This was shot with a high shutter speed to capture the droplet in the water. Due to the high shutter speed and strobes only allowing a max speed of 1/250ith of a second, I used constant lights. I set up with blue gelled lights pointing at the plastic container with the water. In addition to lighting from the sides, I also lit the scene from below using a table light. Blue food colouring was added because I was not quite happy with the colour. I placed a nail in the water where I was going to have the water droplet fall and set for manual focus. The shot took a total of about 4 hours to capture. This was shot with the Nikon D800 and the Sigma Art Series 50mm Lens."

Amazing Weather Photography By Kylie Gee

The weather can be a pretty amazing thing. Storms that create lighting strikes, various cloud patterns and colors are a unique thing to photograph. Kylie Gee, a weather photographer, captures some of nature’s greatest performances from across Western Australia and we are excited to show you some of her great photos today.

Gee started Indigo Storm Photography as a hobby, but has since morphed into a passionate business venture that earned her a spot as one of only 12 Australian photographers featured in the 2017 Bureau of Meteorology calendar.

We hope you enjoy a few of her awesome photos as much as we do!

Long exposure photography creates an image that highlights the effect of passing time. The inclusion of motion, which is mostly shown through light, is the main factor that adds that uniqueness to this types of images.

We found these awesome long exposure shots on Bored Panda that we wanted to share with you today. From a ferris wheel to the milkyway in the sky, the photographers behind these shots did an amazing job showcasing these objects with the long exposure. We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do!

Photo Of The Week

Today's photo of the week was taken by Keegan Meenagh, a freelance videographer and photographer in Norman, Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City.

Here is what Keegan has to say about the photo: "Every April we have the Norman Music Festival, where hundreds of bands from across the state come and play down on Main Street at bars and on stages outside. I took about 3000 photos over 3 days and this picture is my favorite. This is a photo of my friend Parker Rhea right before his band, NoiseBleedsSound, performed.  If you look closely, you can see me in one of his eyeballs.  It's my favorite photo that I've taken."
